The holidays at Walt Disney World are shaping up to be full of festive entertainment, seasonal treats, sparkling décor, special ticketed events, and the kind of memory-making moments that make a Disney vacation feel extra magical. Whether you are dreaming of Christmas on Main Street, holiday kitchens around World Showcase, glamorous evenings at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or resort hopping to see larger-than-life decorations, there is already a lot to look forward to for the 2026 holiday season.

Disney has confirmed that holiday celebrations will return across all four Walt Disney World theme parks, Disney Springs, and the Disney Resorts Collection. Here is what we know so far—and what you may want to start planning now.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Returns to Magic Kingdom

One of the biggest holiday traditions at Walt Disney World is returning: Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom.

This separately ticketed event will take place on select nights from November 8 through December 22, 2026. Confirmed party dates include November 8, 9, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 24, 25, 27, and 29, plus December 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17, 18, 20, and 22. Party guests may enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 p.m., with the official party running later that evening.

Guests can expect classic holiday entertainment, festive character greetings, attraction overlays, seasonal treats, and the beloved Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. Disney has also confirmed that Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, Santa at Storybook Circus, and holiday character appearances will be part of the celebration.

One important planning note: Disney Starlight will not be performed on evenings when Magic Kingdom hosts Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. On party nights, guests will instead enjoy the holiday parade as part of the separately ticketed event.

Disney Jollywood Nights Brings Old Hollywood Holiday Glamour

Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney Jollywood Nights is also returning for 2026. This separately ticketed event combines holiday sparkle with old Hollywood style, specialty food and beverages, exclusive entertainment, character experiences, and access to select attractions with lower wait times.

For 2026, Disney Jollywood Nights will run on select nights from November 7 through January 5, extending into January for the first time. Confirmed dates include November 7, 14, 16, 21, 23, and 28; December 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, and 23; and January 3 and 5. Guests may enter Disney’s Hollywood Studios as early as 5:30 p.m., with the event running from 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

Entertainment will include Disney Holidays in Hollywood, What’s This? Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along, the returning Glisten! skating show, Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!, and festive experiences throughout the park. Disney has also announced a fun lineup of character appearances, including Phineas and Ferb, Max Goof as Powerline, Santa Stitch, Duffy, Scrooge McDuck, The Mandalorian and Grogu, Chewbacca celebrating Life Day, and more.

For families, friend groups, or adults who love a more stylish holiday atmosphere, Jollywood Nights is one of the most unique holiday offerings at Walt Disney World.

EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays

EPCOT will once again celebrate traditions from around the world with the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays presented by AdventHealth, running from November 27 through December 30, 2026. This festival is included with regular theme park admission.

This is one of my favorite holiday experiences because it combines food, storytelling, music, culture, and classic Disney atmosphere. Guests can enjoy Holiday Kitchens around World Showcase, seasonal entertainment, storytellers sharing holiday traditions from around the globe, and the popular Holiday Cookie Stroll.

Disney has also confirmed the return of several major EPCOT holiday highlights, including the Candlelight Processional, JOYFUL! A Celebration of the Season, Living with the Land – Glimmering Greenhouses, and Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition Scavenger Hunt.

For anyone who loves food festivals, EPCOT is a must-do during the holidays. It is festive, meaningful, and easy to enjoy at your own pace.

Holiday Fun at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Even outside of Jollywood Nights, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will bring plenty of holiday charm to a daytime or evening park visit.

Disney has confirmed the return of Sunset Seasons Greetings, the nighttime projection show that transforms the Hollywood Tower Hotel with holiday scenes inspired by The Muppets, Toy Story, Frozen, and Mickey’s Christmas Carol.

Guests can also enjoy the holiday finale at For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration, seasonal decorations throughout the park, and holiday character touches in Toy Story Land, where Woody, Jessie, and Buzz Lightyear will appear in their holiday best.

For a festive meal, Minnie’s Holiday Dine at Hollywood & Vine will return with seasonal décor, character dining, and a holiday-inspired menu. Advance dining reservations are highly recommended.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Adds a Wild Holiday Touch

Disney’s Animal Kingdom brings a more natural, artistic holiday feel to the season.

The beautiful Merry Menagerie will return around Discovery Island, featuring artisan-sculpted animal puppets such as penguins, reindeer, foxes, and polar bears. It is one of the most charming and underrated holiday experiences at Walt Disney World.

After sunset, guests can also enjoy the Tree of Life Awakenings Holiday Edition, with wintry stories, music, and animated projections bringing the park’s centerpiece to life approximately every 10 minutes until park close. Mickey and Minnie will also meet guests at Adventurers Outpost in festive adventure attire.

Animal Kingdom is a great park for families who want holiday magic without the intensity of a party night.

Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll and Holiday Shopping

Disney Springs will once again be a festive hub for shopping, dining, entertainment, and holiday photos.

The Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll presented by AdventHealth will return with elaborately decorated trees inspired by Disney, Pixar, and Star Wars stories. Disney also confirmed that nightly snowfall will return to Town Center, bringing a little winter magic to Central Florida.

Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar will receive its holiday overlay as Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar, offering seasonal bites, brews, and cocktails. Disney Springs will also feature roaming entertainment, live music on select nights, and plenty of holiday merchandise at locations like Disney’s Days of Christmas and World of Disney.

This is a great non-park option for arrival day, departure day, or a lower-key evening during your holiday vacation.

Santa Claus Is Coming to Disney World

Santa will make appearances across Walt Disney World during the holiday season. Disney has confirmed that Santa Claus will visit all four theme parks and Disney Springs through December 24. Guests should check the My Disney Experience app during their visit for specific times and locations.

For families, this is a wonderful way to combine a classic Christmas tradition with a Disney vacation.

Holiday Décor at Disney Resorts

The Disney Resorts Collection will also be dressed for the season with trees, themed decorations, seasonal food and beverages, and festive photo opportunities. Disney notes that many resorts will offer holiday treats and unique décor, making resort time an important part of the holiday experience.

Resort hopping can be a wonderful way to slow down during a busy holiday trip. Favorites often include Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

One change to note: Disney has confirmed that the iconic life-size gingerbread house at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will not return in 2026. The Grand Floridian will still have holiday décor, but that specific long-running display is not expected to be part of the season.

Holiday Deals and Special Offers

Disney has also announced several holiday-season offers for select 2026 stays.

Eligible Disney+ subscribers enrolled in Disney+ Perks may be able to receive a free Park Hopper add-on and save up to 25% on rooms when purchasing a 4-night, 4-day room-and-ticket package for select travel dates. Disney also announced room savings of up to 20% for select Disney Resorts Collection stays from October 4 through December 24, with additional offers for Florida Residents and Annual Passholders.

When Should You Visit Disney World for the Holidays?

The best time to visit depends on your priorities.

For lower crowds and strong holiday atmosphere, early to mid-November can be a great choice, especially if you want to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party or Jollywood Nights before the busiest holiday travel weeks.

For EPCOT lovers, the sweet spot begins November 27, when the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays starts. This is when you can combine the broader Walt Disney World holiday décor with the full EPCOT festival experience.

For families tied to school calendars, Thanksgiving week and Christmas week can still be magical, but they require more strategic planning. Dining reservations, party tickets, park reservations where applicable, and resort choices matter more during these peak periods.
